The beautyfull landscape, the lack of traffic and the variety of footpaths, are Montichelvo characteristics that promote the area to practice walking and cycling on the nature.wo footpath have recently been approved. The first is known as La Creueta SL-CV83. The second is the Water Route SL-CV84, a route based on Montichelvo´s water culture theme.
•Itinerary: Lineal. Without derivations. Jointed with Ruta del Agua footpath (SL-CV84) •Lenght: 1 Km •Dificulty: Medium •Interests places: Ermita del Salvador, la Creueta, mirador,vistas panorámicas, flora endémica.
The Tossal De La Creueta is located northwest of the council. On the top there is the Salvador´s hermitage that can be accessed by a paved road. This way, as well as around the hermitage, have recently been recovered. The terrain from the chapel until the top is composed of rock and compact ground with a high slope. The itinerary begins in the Constitució Avenue, a few meters from the Montichelvo bus stop, and climb to the Salvador´s hermitage by the Camí de l´Ermita. From there, there is a connection to the footpath that will lead us upward, without difficulty, to the top, where the Creueta is located. The Creueta has been also recently recovered.
• Itinerary: Circular. Without derivations. Jointed with Senda de La Creueta footpath (SL-CV83) and SL-CV43 footpath. • Length: 5 km • Dificulty: Low • Interest places: Bassa del Sastre pool, Font de Ferri spring, Molí de Micairent mill, Arcada del Planet acueduct, Alcavó de Remigio mine water, ceramic altarpieces.
This footpath has no significant drops. The itinerary begins in the Constitució Avenue, a few meters from the bus stop Montichelvo and continues on Escuelas street. From here continues towards the cementery by the Camí Reial de Gandia. The route reaches of the ravine Planet and continues along its left edge. Once we arrive to the aqueduct Arcada del Planet our journey continues through the Camí Vell d´Aielo de Rugat next along the ravine. Continuing the footpath, along the road between crops, arrives at the pool Bassa del Sastre. This pool is a monumental hydraulic engineering works, built possibly the eighteenth century. From here continues to be the spring Font del Ferri by a forestry road. From the Font del Ferri spring it is possible to link to another footpath the SL-CV43.
Then our route passes through Riurau de Mahiques and arrives at Font de la Nava spring. The next stop on the itinerary is Font de Micairent spring where we can enjoy in a recreational area and a water mill and two pools. Our path continues by the l'Horta del Molí road until the mine water known as the Alcavó de Remigio. This is peculiar element is remarkable by the Gallery, which has a triangular roof covered flat slabs. Alcavó de Remigio has been recovered during the year 2007.
The route goes to Montichelvo village, crossing Plaza´s fountain and the Font de Baix spring. During the journey we must highlight two urban ceramic altarpieces dated from eighteenth century: La Mare De Dèu Roser and La Mare de Dèu dels Dolors and Sant Cristòfol. From here our itinerary continues to the beginning point.
